Review Wet N’ Wild Intensely-Sparkly Glitter

1

I was cruzing the makeup aisle in Wal-Mart a few days ago and came across a new product from Wet N’ Wild. I’m trying to do new thing with my makeup and glitter usually makes everything more fun. The colors I picked up were Brass and Groupie and they were .99 cents each.

2

Pros:

They were .99 cents

They look pretty in the package

3

Cons:

They do not apply well

They do not wear well

They are hard to remove

4

Maybe it’s me, but I don’t think it is. These were not worth the .99 cents I paid.  Do you remember the play makeup kits you would get as a kid and they would have glitter shadows? They were better quality than these shadows. When I used my fingers to swatch them they seemed like they would work well. The problem is that they adhere to the first thing they touch and practically nothing else. The formulation is like a gel consistency with large glitter pieces, but when I at first tried using my fingers to apply the product it just made a mess. I tried patting it on, swiping it on and no luck. It didn’t quite stay on my finger but didn’t completely transfer to my lids. So I tried a few different brushes, still no luck. The glitter was stuck to my finger tips and to my brushes even after a few washes.

I wish I had better things to say about these glitters since I do like Wet N’ Wild products, but these are a fail. Has anyone else tried these glitters with better luck?

May Favorites

1

I know we’re almost through the first week of June, but I wanted to share my favorites for the month of May.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Lavish Palatte

As much as I love the Pink Sapphire shade in this palatte, I have found myself reaching for Sienna and Orange Soda over and over. (Sorry it’s dirty, but I’ve really been using it a lot).

2

Wet N’ Wild Comfort Zone Palatte

This is the second time I’ve purchased this product. The two brown tone eyelid colors are perfect when I don’t have much time to do my makeup.

3

Loreal True Match Foundation

Holy Grail product. I have several foundations I’ve been rotating out, but when I need something reliable I always reach for this.

4

Aveeno Positively Radiant Moisturizer

This moisturizer is perfect for my skin. It not too heavy for my combo skin but lasts all day. When I wash my face in the morning this is what I put on if I’m wearing makeup or not.

5

Loreal The Infallible The Super Slim Liner

I discovered this last year and went through about three of them. Then I became infactuated with Loreal’s gel liner. I found it on sale around the beginning of May and fell in love all over again.

6

MAC Pro Longwear Concealer

If you follow my blog you know I use this with almost every makeup look. I do need to get a new shade, but this is definitely an all time fave.

7

Smith’s Rosebud Salve

I have had this same tin for about a year. It is the best balm ever. When I use it everyday it keeps my lips smooth and I swear it evens out the tone of my lips. I also have it in the strawberry version but I don’t like it as much as the original.

I love me some……….Josie Maran Aragan Oil

109

I was first introduced to Josie Maran the same way I am introduced to most new products, Youtube.  I think the first Youtuber I remember mentioning Josie Maran is Tanya Burr. She was raving about the Aragan Oil and how great it made her skin feel,  but I felt it couldn’t be for me. I have oily combo skin that gets worse in the summer. Eventually I saw articles on Beautylish and in magazines on how great aragon oil is for your whole body. I caved into the peer pressure and bought it.

Wowza!

To begin it didn’t make my skin any more oily than ususal. In fact it helped keep some of my oil at bay. This isn’t to say that it got rid of my oiliness but it helped. It does make my skin softer, smoother and brighter, which I love. It doesn’t feel greasy and it absorbs quickly. My favorite one to use is the Light version. I use the regular version in the winter when my skin get drier, but I find in the warmer weather the regular formula takes longer to absorb. I do not like the “radiance” version. It’s messy, thick, and I don’t feel like it works as well with my skin.

You can get Josie Maran Aragan Oil at Sephora. The large bottle retails for $48.00 and the mini bottle is $16.00. I pick up the mini bottle, which is .5 fl oz and it lasts me about 3 months.

What are some of your favorite skin care products?
